Cozumel Island


The jewel shaped island lies just 19km off the Yucatan Coast, and measures 29 m/47 km long and 10m/15 km wide. Cozumel has a warm, humid climate and the main vegetation is coastal mangrove forest, tropical deciduous forest and tropical semideciduous.

Endemic birds

Cozumel Vireo, Cozumel Wren, Cozumel Emerald, Black Catbird, Yucatan Vireo, Western Spindalis, Rufous-browed Peppershrike, Rose-throated Tanager, Caribbean Dove and so on.

Itinerary

Birding tours from:

  • Pick Up time at hotel 6:A.M and return about 1P.M.
  • The passenger ferry to the Island of Cozumel at 8 A.M. ( the first ferry leave from Playa del Carmen at 7 A.M and return to Playa del Carmen at 2 P. M.
  • Pick Up time at cruise ship and return two hours before at the dock
