We begin this wonderful birding tour in Palenque, Chiapas, where we start our trip with a visit to Palenque ruins. After lunch continueto Cascadas de Agua Azul &Misol ha. Early morning at 5 P.M leaving to Frontera Corazal three night, to visit Bonampak,Yaxchilan and the Lacantun forest. These sites are both deep in the rainforest. We´ll take a boat in Frontera Corozal to continue to Yaxchilan (Usumacinta River ). Guacamayas hotel, 2 days. This reserve, is situated on the banks of the broad Rio Lacantun, a tributary of the even wider Rio Usumacinta.The Reserve of the Biosphere Monte Azules is on the opposite bank. It is the only remaining area in Mexico. There are excellent trails in the immediate rainforest, and the birding is even productive walking through the small, clean and manicured village of reforma Agraria. We´ll spend two nights at El Triunfo Reserve and then continue to Sumidero Canyon. Overnight. Tuxtla Gutierrez, we´ll end our birding trip to Ocote Biosphere Reserve. Overnight. Palenque and departure.
